Tears..

Assalamualaikum, new year. Hope we'll be good friends okay?

I did have some ideas to blog but I ended up postponing it. Well... It's exam season. I'm doing fairly good I think. Same routine what so ever. I haven't properly plan my new year resolution but I'll try to do it in my next post.

A week ago (or a few more days before that). I watched a video on Youtube before I went to sleep (mind you, all covered in blanket and all). It was a video on meeting Allah in Jannah. How the angels will call you, the meeting and all. I. Me. Ball my eyes out. Literally. I'm really thankful that I have Allah, my constant, throughout all my life he's always there and the thought that perhaps perhaps one day I can meet with my Creator. I can't imagine how great it must be.

But I know I don't deserve it. I know it's too much to ask. I felt sad thinking about with my all faults and sins will I ever get to meet him one day. I made doa in my bed crying hoping I'll sleep. Then I thought I should get up, I have so many faults I have to get up and at least pray. My lazy side said go to sleep but my heart was telling how much a hypocrite I am for crying upon the thought of meeting my Rabb but now I'm too lazy to pray solat to ask forgiveness from Allah to forgive all my sins?

So I got up and prayed. Obviously I cried more. But at least I said to myself trying is better than nothing, right.

Thank you Allah,
TGiaH

The surprise that made me cry.

Btw, it's less than 1 hour before my 23rd birthday! Hehe. Birthday post tomorrow!

Long story short, my family surprise me by coming down to Kuantan. I literally cried, you guys. It's the best gift ever. I know my father is not financially strong now plus his health too (it's worrying). The fact the he came despite that made burst into tears. Obviously, he would try his best to spoilt me with a birthday surprise (he insisted a few time to go out and celebrate). However, things were in my favour Alhamdulillah. Get to drive to the nearest super market, grab some ice cream & back to dinner at our cafe. So Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah, the cheapest option that I can offer. I'm happier this way! I'm very grateful Allah granted me my dua on this. I had such a fun time, just spending time with my family.

I made a video already about the title and I liked the results very much. Not bad for a first timer. I really badly want to post it here. But for privacy sake, I can't. Also, I did my own 2020 vision board + finish my readings! The last book I finished (I guess) for this year is about Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh. Reading that, tbh at the end I felt really low standard (I don't know the right words, so bear with me). It's not like when I see someone nowadays, and feel ashamed when I compared myself with their knowledge, piosity, ibadah. But this is different, Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh is way different league. Never leaving solat fardh, rawatib, tahajud. Ma Sha Allah. I also thought do I even value in the eyes of Allah. Like look at these people. The sahabah, tabi' tabi'in, the sufis. I probably at the worst of worst level still. Huu.

Still, nothing much else to say. Let's see what 23 things I can come up for tomorrow, alright?

May Allah make me a better person each day,

My hand surprised me.

I'm attempting to make a funny title, but second thought it sounds weird. Hrmm. Whatever.

The story:

An hour ago, when I was buying lunch as usual. Usually either your bring your own container or take the clear plastic bag (the one you need an elastic band to tie with no handles). And as usual I put the dish (egg, vegies and soup into the plastic).

I look at my left hand and I blinked for a moment.

Wait what?

My left hand is holding the plastic just fine like any normal person and it didn't feel tight neither I was loosing my grip on the plastic. No different from a normal person.

Was it always like this?

But I knew today is probably one of those days my hand is doing better than normal. Or it is also possible my hand will go back being tight any moment.

I guess I just have to be grateful I have small moments that my hand is doing fine and don't have high hopes for more. Might seem ridiculous to say, but for someone who has this struggle even the small moments counts a lot.

Btw, just a side story of yesterday. I had really long breakdown. A cried and still sobbing for an hour in the afternoon and like another 20 minutes at night. I still need to figure how to not be low but sometimes there is no reason I am low. I was thinking because it rain all day (but rain is comforting for me) and I had too much fun and laughter the night before (we had our class gathering and played all sorts of games). I hope today is better because I need to get more work done (because of my breakdown, I was less productive).

Sometimes I wish you can talk, dear blog.

Last day of practical at Allcare Pharmacy (and a little somersault).

You know what? I couldn't even remember the title I wanted to write because I got distracted with Zain Abu Kautsar recitation of surah Al-Waqiah. It kinda makes you feel to just take a stop and just listen. Comforting. And... I've just finished eating the lasagna I'd made yesterday (which I wanted to make since like few months ago, and I only yesterday I did. Lol.). I thought it was like a only a B+ yesterday, but I can't seem to stop eating it today! It's so yummy but probably not something I can afford making every month. Cheese are soooo expensive! But lasagna is soooo yummy. *internal conflict*

Btw, a bit of a funny thing. You know when you buttering the pan to bake, you kinda want to shake the butter of the spoon. And I find it so funny that the butter like did a small somersault in the air before landing on the pan. Oh so me.. Finding the small things funny.

(I'm basically scrapping my plate now, wondering if I should take some more of this lasagna...)

I've finished my practicals last Sunday (and now it's Wednesday, and I haven't get started on my log book. Oh god I'm such a procrastinator.). I learned a lot throughout my practicals. I would like to stay & learn more, but sometimes giving yourself to do other things are just as great. Nevertheless, Abg M & Puan F, said maybe I can do a part time job at the pharmacy which I so would like to do. Hope I get the job, I kinda need the money too. It also makes me proud a bit. I thought they would think I'm not really a good employee candidate (again I'm insecure of my differences), but I guess they though otherwise.

Overall, everyone was kind and sweet. I enjoyed my stay there. Plus, not to mention there are almost always kids around at the pharmacy which I love taking care of (Hence, I'm planning next time maybe maybe I can ask for a job at the kindergarten near my house.) And I didn't expect everyone to buy me presents. Like A gave me a cute chinese keychain and F bought me some bombolone as gifts. Even, Puan F and her family bought us all some McD chicken. I was so touched and in a way, loved. <3 Thank you everyone.

Thank you everyone,

Everything that comes from Him, will return to Him.

*in tears*
I open my WhatsApp, ten minutes ago saying to myself I should check my phone more often.

My family group chat:

My father said that Aiko is in critical condition before 9.

Seeing that WhatsApp, I called my father saying that is it fine to tell H about her now? It's probably gonna affect him a lot because Aiko is much reason of his happiness and he's always asking how is she when she's away instead of us. I know it's funny but.. Haha.

And my father said..

She's gone.

Just a while ago.

In the car.

They (Abah+Ibu+I) bringing her to the clinic this morning but it wasn't opened yet. They went to do some errands and found that she's already dead.

I hold back my tears on the phone, even on the brink. The call ended, and the build-up tears fall from my eyes.

I'm so grateful that Allah gave me a chance to be with her on my recent break while giving me clues that her time was near. I got told off by I for telling him that she has might have little chance so take care of her but I just want them to treat her while they still can.

I'm sorry for H because he couldn't meet her before she's gone. His holiday is in another week. I'm sorry too for Aiko for not being able to always treat her well when she's sick for long.

Thanks Aiko for being the reason of our laugh, our joy, our complains for the surprises you giving to us. Thank you for being you that is: the moody cat who wants to do her own stuff, to the one who clingy for all attention. The cat that can do all sorts of gymnastic yoga movements. The so confident cat who struts on the street for all the male cats to see. The demanding cat that wants to eat baby food and drink water from our cups. You're such a baby and a queen. You know it. Haha. Thank you for being beside us when we do our jamaah prayer & zikr. Thank you for more than the 4 years memories. May Allah bless you.

Best prayers,
The Girl in A Hood

From a mistake to joy.

I was thinking that it was funny, so here's a blog post for it. XD

Today my Indonesia friend wanna visit our room (btw, today is Syamira's birthday + 1st clean room practice aka was super nervous but Allah helped as always, Alhamdulillah + Quiz online Endo which was fair, I would say, need more study power. Go go!), but I didn't know she wasn't gonna bring her other friends along. In other means, she's gonna come alone.

As I presumely a good host, I cleaned my room & bought some food and drinks which in it is 10 vitagens. When she said she's gonna come alone. I was like Oh-oh. What a waste of money (more even because I'm on a budget constraint. Huhu. Business hasn't been good. :( ) I thought of drinking most myself, but then I thought of offering to my batchmates by putting in at the usrah area.

As soon as I told everyone there's vitagen, there was literally commotion. The loud noise made me sneak a peek. Haha. If I knew, I would've put much more of the drinks. Oh well. At least I made 5 girls happy. Unexpected joy, ey?

Funnily, this relates so much in a bigger scope.

Smiling,

Medical Volunteer Mission to Senderut.

Okay, as always I'm crazy for still writing this when I have an assignment due tomorrow! Aka sterile individual assignment, progress 1%. Pray for me!

Since long time ago, I always wanted to go on a medical volunteer trip in rural areas, no electricity, no internet, no all those techy things and stuffs. And I have to say the chance finally come about 2 months ago, and I just had to give my name (and my roommate, since I'm a noob to this thing), one of the best decision ever.

We had a team of pharmacy of 4 (we're supposed to be 5), and I was the leader, insane! More to that cause I lack of experience. Haha. Glad the team was supporting habis! And yes, we dispense meds under the supervision of a doctor. Which we all are so excited about.

We did quite a lot, from medical care (dispene ubat, yippee!), home visit (with my ameh), jumping off cliffs to the river falls (seriously, I have made respect for what happened), playing tricky mind games until late a night (black magic, lihat sekeliling, pukul nyamuk, apa kaitan, green glass door) , riding 4 wheelers (with Dr Yusuf), getting sick in the middle of the wood (more like toxin fever and gas).

And the orang asli is very nice, I love talking to my ameh (Ibu) and menang (adik) (it's in Bahasa Semai). Learning the language is a struggle but gladly they speak Malay very well. My ameh learn on her own kot! And the one thing I really need to learn to be like them is that they never complain! A single bit. When they're in pain, hard labour, lack of facilities. The way they speak is so nice.

Hope I get to do more of this stuffs again! And meet them again!

Ameh Sainah, menang (Danish?), jangan buhuk ye,

Flying again.

Just a short update. Sorry I haven't been blogging for a while (a month). Which seems too long. Been too occupied with workload. Huhu.

And I swear someone is literally reading every post of mine (I can see the views, okay?).

So the news is...

I'm going to fly again!!

Very soon..

This Sunday to be exact.

The last time I went on a plane is when I was seven, coming back home rom the UKs. And I haven't been on a plane ever since. And another thing that trills me more is that I'm travelling with my friend instead of my family. I'm a big girl, now eh?

Okay, got to go. I want to eat my lunch. TT.TT

Lunch at 4?

Finished!!!

First of all, I've just realised my page view has reached more than 2000. Mostly because of my pharmacy interview post, which I will try to update the next part on my holidays. Huhu.

We had our BioChem OSPE the afternoon, my group went last. Again. Luckily, it's not a long wait. And yeah, I don't know i I answered the question correct or not. 2 minutes is too short. Man... You'd literally have time to only write the first thing that comes to mind whether it's right or wrong.

Note of BioChem OSPE for juniors,
just read the lab manuals, revise back on the practicals, memorise the simple formulas and normal values, graph & instrument. And revise the fasting, starving slides if you manage. And you are good to go! (I given much clues, so good luck!)

After the OSPE, weirdly I was the first to arrive at my room door steps. And had this 1 hour, I-supposed-to-study-or-nap-but-happens-to-be-on-my-phone in my bed. Funny thing is my friend post an InstaStory of her wanting 'ayam goring' (Oh her BM! Haha.), which then happens to DM session of her ordering me to study, and me thought she could she literally checked whether she was peeking behind of the curtain's looking at me, and turn out to a bunch of random, funny, and ridicolous InstaStories post and DMs with her. And I got caught when she said she's going to edit a bad photo of me (she already has a collection of those! Geez.), when I edited her funny photo and sent to her.

So I went to her room. And the whole evening lasted with listening to kpop songs with her roommates and other random bunch of things. Relax and rest time after OSPE. Like Dr May has told us to rest first. So yeah..

After that, went on an iftar at MAC 2. Met my best old buddies on the window sill. And going back to my room.

And I...

Finished my study on BioChem finals which is on Wednesday. Haha. And when my roommate hasn't even started hers. And then, finishes my to-do budget proposal of a programme. (This society thing never leaves me. Even I want to or not.)

Had some time to kill, and then happened to write this.

Anyway, just hope I can score this paper. And still get the GPA I wanted for this semester. Fighting!

So much time to kill. Huh?

Excusez moi?

Got a french title this time.

Just had to blog of this funny thing, even though it's short.

Since I was young, I would sometimes get motion sickness. Sometimes are worst, sometimes it felt I didn't even had it. But having it, always made my bus trips the worst. Worser if I couldn't sleep as I would felt very dizzy and felt like puking that could hardly be contained.

And worse, I puked for the last two trip from Kuantan to Kajang (not this very recent one, as I went back by car with some akhawat).

I couldn't think of a cure. And that's when I thinking of buying meds. (And damn, why didn't I think of this before?)

So I went straight to pharmacy after my bus trip, before arriving home. And it happens like this...

Wandering in the pharmacy... And then went up to the counter..

Me: Nak beli ubat tahan muntah boleh?
Akak counter: Bole. Untuk apa ye Puan? *looking at my ring*
Me: Untuk motion sickness. *i was taken aback by the Puan, and couldn't think the word mabuk jalan*
Akak counter: Morning sickness ye, Puan?
Me: Bukan x3. *while panicking* Ummm. Ahh.. Tu tu pening jalan, eh mabuk jalan.
Akak counter: Ooo. Mabuk jalan.
Me: Haah. *at least se stop calling me Puan*
Akak counter: Nak yang ngantuk ke tak? *after eye talking with her pharmacist friend beside her*
Me: Hrmm. Yang mengantuk.

Receive and paid. Only 4 ringgit. Okay la.

All in all, do I really look like a married women?

And worse pregnant? (Morning sickness, errhh.)

Definitely, buying a shirt saying SINGLE in capital,
The Girl in A Hood

A bad hair cut.

So many things I'd got to blog for last week, so I've decided to come up with a summary of last week's event.

1. Got some few business matter done Alhamdulillah, and went back to UIA on Monday morning.

2. Had our jamuan batch, which consists of revealing our SAs, the brothers playing guitar (and singing), makan sampai muntah (which was very funny, the team I supported win so yeah!! and the werewolf game (the humans lost, includes me. I knew she was the werewolf. Dang it!) . Really had a blast with this jamuan, short but sweet.

3. Procrastinating at it's finest. I started answering my Microbiology coursework last case study the very morning we had to submit. Such a loser.

4. Giving my bench buddy (aka close friends for now) a surprise for her birthday. She said she teared up. Haha. You better be girl. It was hard enough recording my not-so-sedap voice singing her birthday song. Well, at least it's decent.

5. Went to my first konvensyen, which was the best! Had many health sciences (mostly were Medic students) there, and hearing inspiring people talking. Indeed, it boast my fire to do something for the ummah. Fighting!

6. Did some cooking at home. Simple pan-toasted garlic bread. It's yummy I would say. And so much better than the picture I tried to flatlay while cooking. Seriously, how people managed to do amazing faltlays? Of their real life I mean.

7. Lastly, and the worst. My hair. Got a little trim. Nahh. I wouldn't say it as a trim, rather a 10 inch of my hair got chopped off. And it wasn't what I wanted. I only want a short above the shoulder hair length. But what I got... It's a disaster. My youngest brother laugh his head off, While my other two brother got a shock of their life (okay, that's kind of hyperbolic. But they did get shocked.). They said they prefer my old hair, but what I could do? Huhu. Just had to wait another year to get it that long I guess. Now, I'm busy figuring out how to style my hair, making it look acceptable, and boasting up my low self-esteem of my new hair.

I'll do my own hair cut from now on,

Peas on my plate.

One thing about food. No matter how much I dislike the taste (except yang case yang tak boleh makan), I will still eat it anyway.

And one of those food are peas.

You know those little green ones. Usually in the three in one packet with its maties carrot and corn, sold in the supermarket.

Sadly, even though I kinda hate it, they will still appear in the common nasi, pasta and so on.

But I'm not the one whose shows they are picky with food in front of others, when taking food.

Don't get me wrong. I don't judge people who are picky with their food. But, if it's me. I wouldn't do it. And my children. Haha. Eat your veggies on your plate dearies!

And another reason is that my parents always told me to don't waste anything. So it kinda become a habit of eating everything on my plate (and someone's else, if you eating with me). And yeah. I hate the idea of precious food being waste.

Even though, I am so full. Just like yesterday, when me and my roommates went on eating at Manhattan Fish Market. I got joked around by my roommates saying I seriously looked like I was forced to eat it.

And pity them, they had to wait for me to finish it all. Funny thing is even though I'm a slow eater. But now, when I eat rice it's the same with the people with normal speed? Weird right?

Anyway, what's was I trying to blog about is that with the food that I don't really like.. I will always eat the hate stuff first. And eat the yummy stuff later.

Same as eating the bread loaf. I will tend to eat the sides first, before eating the middle part. As when I was a kid, I like the white part better.

While, eating  peas from the carbonara (or it is fettuccini pasta?. Idk the name.) I bought from the nasi arab stall at FZ cafe, I reminisce my little self (or in my other words. Termenung. My new hobby. ><).

When I was a kid, I thought by eating the stuffs I hate first. And better things will come later. And from that itself I thought about life. How I was being mocked, sometimes blackmailed by other people. And so on. And the thought I never told my parents those things. And how I back kick them with me being a good and clever student. And so on in life.

I had to suck up everything things that was hard for me. With no one I really (want?) to tell. And I survive throughout the process (just like eating things you don't like won't kill you). And things will get better In Shaa Allah.

As when I read Aisyah Syakirah's blog. Her friend said that all the bad things that been given to us is a sign of something much much better or you never expect in life.

And what she said is true. I've experienced it myself. Many times, to be told here.

If you are going through a hard. Cheer up, a good times will come. He is the Most Just, after all.

I never thought the little me, was so grown up.
The Girl in A Hood.

P/S: I'm on the way home cause I miss my family so much (and of course work too). I have a ton of other things to do. So pray for me to do well! Fighting!

Pharmily Day 16/17 // Aang the last avatar has arrived!

In Pharmacy, there's this yearly tradition where the first years will be organising the A to Z of our get together day with the KOPians.

All from the theme, ob, the what the when the how, the everything.

My friend got me into the Runner & Transport bureau, and funnily enough it's the first time I became a committee and felt I didn't contribute much as others.

All I had to do is to usher the lecturers and take care of the already planned game for 1 hour.

At  glance, if you see the place it's seems like a simple work.

But not, from the last minute change of venue to decorations (especially the balloons). Hard work between the entire members of our batch can be seen.

For me, it was very memorable and light hearting (is that a word?) to see whole batch come together like that.

At what was the best, our PD seems to be doing fine. Everyone was enjoying their time. We had fun fairs which was great, dart games, and the best ones I would say is the limbo and cooking competition.

At the very best was all the seniors sang us a thank you song for the whole Rx15 for our hard work. For me, it was touching and unexpected.

So thank you Rx15 for another beautiful memory together.

And here are some pictures of us (obviously I choose the ones I looked decent. Haha.).

P/S: Sorry for this terrible post. Super lazy right now. Hope the pictures can make it up!

A day with my Chingu!

Just so you know, I'm feeling super duper lazy right now and been procrastinating so many things that I have to get done but not done. Huhu.

Still these are the type of blog post that I will regret not writing up (just like what the birthday blog post that I didn't write).

So I went out with a close 'girlfriend' of mine at the end of last month (Friday).

Basically, we were wanting to hang out outside of the campus for so long, but didn't really get the chnce.

So what I basically did was one Wednesday after a full 8 to 7 class, plus a 9 to 11 meeting (we students are so attached to our KOP building), I walked straight up to her room.

Haha. Poor her. I kacau her right when she was studying (but when medic students never not study?), with a bunch of random usual stuffs just like I usually talk to her.

That's when I told her about being so painful. It's the type of pain that was uncomfortable all the time, and at unexpected time will stab you so sharp that it made my tooth aches, and result with me saying a sudden Ow! What's worse is that I couldn't really hear properly.

Being the friend that I know, of course she would forced me to go to the doctors. Which we did the very Friday.

And she said she was driving.

That's when the funny bit came.

Little did I know, that she was a terrible-not-so-terrible driver.

Yah. You know what I mean.

So the outing went on like this:

I got picked up around 2, and we went on a date at KFC where I couldn't differentiate when the the waiter said spicy or pepsi (not to mention, I mistaken the word kucing to cincin the night before). That's the sign how my ear was worse and how my past few days got by with a good laugh. Haha.

After the lunch date (which went really well), we were suppose to arrive at the clinic in less than 10 minutes, but what happened was we got there after more than 30 minutes.

The incidents why that happened was memorable.

At first, the car got into a bruise with the corner (the ones you see on the road sides), which made my friend past the turning point to the clinic and shoot straight up in a traffic jam to Kuantan.

While, in the traffic jam, the fuel got low to only 1 bar. Which was when my friend panicked that we could make to the petrol station in time.

So imagine me a non-licensed driver trying to comfort her that it was unnecessary to call a friend to help us, and that we will reach the petrol station in time. Cause God who knows how long we will get stuck in Kuantan if we stop there.

You think that's all?

After refulling up to 3 bars. The car won't start. Haha.

Of course, as a never-did-I-ever-take-driving-lesson-person, I didn't know why it couldn't start.

She said the battery gone low, which was impossible (for me), and in the end she had to ask the not-so-knowing workers there to help. Clearly, they were not much of a help.

So then we realise that the gear (I think?) was wrong, instead of P it was a D.

After all the commotion, we finally got to the clinic.

The car had a bad scratch  which was non visible if didn't inspect closely with the bumper falling off (it can still attached back). At the very big least, we were safe. Along with me heart.

All in all, I got my meds and my longing date with my dear friend.

But I swear, next time If I got my license I will never get you to drive. Haha.

Sarang Haw, Chingu Yah!

So... When are we going on a date?

I'm in the bus going back home, with nothing better to do. If you haven't figure out. The last time I went home on a bus from Kuantan is when I had to finish my coursework within a day. I can still see myself on my lappy sitting with a headache on the bus. Haha.

Anyway, it's mid term holiday. Which I was waiting for so so long. Finally yesterday, I got to rest with nothing but sleeping and wasting time for a day (which I think I deserved). Eventhough I was likely want to watch dramas. I found myself asleep the whole afternoon with a more interesting fairytale in my dreamland. Sadly, I didn't get to see the ending. Haha.

I actually don't have any ideas on what to talk about. And that's why I'd post less frequently than I used too. Huwaa. But suddenly when I started writing this very post, I'd bunch of stories to tell.

So regarding the title. Before you go panicking. I'm not dating anyone btw. (Except my crush in dreamland.) Writing the last sentence, flashes back me on when I was in primary school, and my friends wanted to know who did I like. And I was like. He's not in this school. Bwahaha. And then when they ask again. I said you can not meet him in this world. Another bwahaha. And they pretty much figure out that my guy exist in my dream. Which wasn't. I was really making up the story the whole time. Remembering this, made me smile. The fact that no ones ever did figure out my crushes (I only had 2) until now. But weirdly, I'm always be intervened with other love affair, by so calling the love advisor. Or more glamorously, love doctor.

Wow. That's a long paragraph.

Going back to the topic.

What I meant by date is that dating either my girlfriends. Cause I don't seem to have a boyfriend to date. Haha. Them, one bestfriend and another very close girlfriend, always wanted to go out with me. And me too. I think it's has been over a year these two have been bugging me. But due to time difference, we never got to go on a date until now.

Surprisingly, one day which was about Thursday first week of March. Where it's one of the day we have no afternoon class as we already did our lab session. It happened like this. I really wanted to go outing and somehow put my mind on others things except work. And that day, seems like I have some time to lose. That's when I figure out nearly 20 of my classmate are going outing for the afternoon. And then, some friend from the back seat said (to another friend, not me) "Jom keluar terus lepas kelas. Naik uber. Makan sushi".

Me, being the one eavesdropping got the idea of going out to. But how? Add more importantly with who? So I said to my seatmate aka maybe new close friend? Idk. "Jom keluar. Makan sushi".

And thats how it happened. With a last minute plan, we both went on a date. And pleasantly to know that Sushi King had their bonanza that day. So double yeay. Knowing my seatmate here, I thought my trip would be just eating and dull. But boy, I was wrong. We got along with each other. With my teasing her during the meal. Talking about a bunch of random things. And walking through some shops (which was surprising seeing that she said she wasn't the window shop type). In my mind, though you're so going to the mak cik that's gonna stop and everything she thinks she wants. But doesn't buy it. Haha. Sorry girl.

And to selfie-ing weird photos with in the Uber car (the pak cik must though UIA girls are so pelik.). Reminding this, Astagfirullah. We must have been so tak senonoh.

All in all, our date was the best. And I glad that I did to get to know here a little better.

But, the ending of the date was a little sad. Where we had to rush before 5 thirty to our so-called last minute BM class. Haha.

So my other girlfriends... Seriously, when are we gonna have our date?!

Kayaking.. For the 1st time.

It's been a while since I blogged. I honestly miss it but *sighs* time.

And always there's much I wanna blog, but since I missed a few post dates, I couldn't.

Still here I am. At the library as always. It's been a week a day (including this day) since the semester started. And it's enjoyable as always, new lecturer, new subjects, new challenge and all.

Speaking of new lecturer, we've got a new lecturer, a young PHD London-graduated lecturer, which I'm freaking jealous of his British accent. Huhu. How I still wish I got the tongue, now it's all Melayu-american-british mixed tongue. Oh well. Btw, he had his very first class as a lecturer with us (what a honour :) ). Me at the back, could see he was nervous (a little), which I guessed was true it was his first class. And another Dr told us that the day after, "It's historical day yesterday" he stated. Nevertheless, the new lecturer did excellent, so he wouldn't need a thing to be nervous about. And today, a lecturer flew to Bangkok at noon. Which made, think what Bangkok is like. And promise I would travel the world someday. In Shaa Allah.

As the past semester, was a trial for me to adapt and try out learning techniques, I manage to get an okay result, which suits my 'okay' effort. So this semester I'm targeting a little above from my previous semester, so that I could leisure a bit for my 2nd years. So I'm gonna work a little bit more on my studies than before. Fighting!

But still, this semester is gonna be a little bit busy, due to my business matters. Still, it's not something I should use as an excuse.

Oh. I almost forgot. I went camping trip the last weekend, and it was great Alhamdulillah. We had jungle trekking, obstacles, kayaking, game, and also sembelih ayam kampung and cook together. It was fun. And I almost forgot about university life for a day or two, as there's no coverage at PLKN Cherating, so no Wifi for about 2 days. It was first time kayaking, and I did quite bad for myself. We (in a kayak for 2), got stuck at the other side of the lack, and couldn't push out. Haha. Luckily, the trainer came to help us. While at the end, we had our kayak flip upside down. Which for me, was thrilling while a little unexpected, but my more teammate freaked out as she didn't expect it. Luckily, she managed to get through the shock (although she didn't join us having fun in the lake).

I think this good for now update. Till next time.

Pharmacy Practice Lab Practical Exam // Nervous

I am actually feeling lazy to update right now, but knowing that my future self will appreciate if I write this. So, here I am properly writing from my laptop using my on data for internet (thanks, UIA).

Yesterday, was the day for Practical Exam for the subject Pharmacy Practice (where we do compounding and dispensing medicine), It was suppose to be 2 weeks ago, but got postponed.

I was so nervous, and this is practically the exam that I'll pray will ease the most cause I'll worried I will get criticised for my health condition. Huhu.

Still, it went so smooth, and I really felt Allah helped my through the way. I'm so relieved now. Like the I got a really kind examiner, and he didn't check me when I was compounding (I got emulsion btw), so I can calmly do my compounding. And the product turn out well, (or I hope so).

I did all my calculation writing prior to start compounding, so I start a little late than the others, so I when I start searching for the apparatus like none was dried and properly cleaned to be used. Still, redah je la. And I couldn't find one substance that happen to be further back side of the lab, where during our previous lab experiments never once did a substance is there. I was like going in circles around the same place trying to find it. Luckily, one lecturer ask me what was I doing, and showed me where the thing is.

There was this one guy, when I finished collecting my things to do compunding, he was still practically doing his writing. Funny enough, I met him at the place I came back for my substance. I didn't realise he was actually struggling to do his compounding, when I saw three failed products on his desk. I was kinda sorry and worried about him (he eventually becom the last guy that went out from the lab), as he helped me get a new dropper to collect the substance. I wanted to help him like give him a clue on the correct way to do the compounding, as it he is doing the same as mine. But, it is an exam, so we aren't allowed to talk and his station was like near the examiners place. So I just prayed he was okay.

So my tips for this exam:
1. Study group before the night of exam to know the best and correct method to compound.
2. Self-study by writing back the the best lab report by friends.
3. Study all related slides including calculation although it didn't came up during the before lab, it is possible it came up during the practical exam.
4 Memorise terms and the key points of the respective method.
5. Double check the calculation before starting the experiment, so that you would not end up doing the compounding twice.

And I have a new hobby now, which is listening to ballad songs (mostly OSTs and sad songs), that left me just menerawang on thin air, and not thinking anything. Which is bad when I suppose to be studying as I will be blank. But it stills relaxes me, now that somehow I'm feeling chills behind my back, and a thump of my heart which is weird...

I think I might go on a walk while listening this to my current favourite OSTs which is Stay with Me & Beautiful (Goblin OSTs). Even the instrumentals are so good. The drama is also good, and one of the best and catching I watch so far. I managed to unattach myself from watching. So I would not recomend anyone watching during busy times as they most probably will get attach to the drama. So, don't. Take my words.

Til next time,
The Girl in A Hood.

We made our very first drug//First Pharmacy Practice Lab

So we had our very first Pharmacy Practice practical. And...

We made our very first drug (aka medicine)! How was it?

One word.

CHAOS!

Literally. Haha.

But fun.

Before the lab, we were given the lab manual, 13 pages, which contain some questions, and inquiries. But no instructions.

Example : Patient XX needs XX g of drug XX for XX disease tds 6/7. You as a pharmacist need to prepare this drug.

So we are needed to figure:
1. How to make the drug.
2. The exact amount needed.
3. How to label the drug.

And not to mention, make a report out of it. Which we only known we need to write the procedure the day before.

For me, I studied the previous lecture notes and just finish the day before, but didn't manage to the lab report the day before.

Oh and if you are wondering, the report needed to be submitted right after we finish the drug / before class ended. No joke. Some unlucky ones got mark deductions for submitting a few minutes late.

So we needed to finish the report before the lab, if not. No time mate! The lecturers are not going to help. So figure out yourself.

How? (According to before.)
1. Search and understand all recipes (and variations). The lecturers will expect you to know more.
2. Calculation. Important! Wrong calculation, you're busted!
3. Again, search and search. Labeling is the hardest part. It took us all an hour for us to label 3 medication, and still didn't get entirely correct.

During the lab, we were given our own cubicle to get our medicine done. (Yes, you are alone in this game. But not quite.) After briefing (if not mistaken about 1/2 hour, due to too many questions), then we know which medicine needed to be prepared out of all that was asked in the lab manual.  After that, we are divided to two groups to do the experiment (due to lack of apparatus). And then, cop-cop, off we go. Everyone, was so anxious and nervous (literally everyone's hands were shaking during weighing the mass). And so busy, (you can practically see some running from one place to another).

Despite all this, the funny thing is we literally prepared 'air garam' and 'air gula'.

Future chefs,
Rx 15.

My interview experience. Part 2.

I was thinking I better write it fast before I start to forget.

So here it is :

On that day, after the briefing session, I went back to my room as my interview session was schedule for the afternoon.

So about 9 until 11, I decided to sleep as the night before, I slept late. Not knowing this, nearly made me got trouble. So after I woke up at 11, I started to get ready and ironed my clothes once again so that I got the extra edgey neat look, I thought of going there at 12, eventhough the afternoon session starts at 2, and I was the last person, so I estimated maybe around 4, I will get interviewed, Better early than punctual.

So that's what I thought.

Just when I was ironing my clothes, my roommate A told me that she recieved a WhatsApp saying that all afternoon session have to be there at 11 precise.

Damn it! My head screamed.

So I hurried to call my friend who was scheduled the same group and session with me.

She didn't answer.

I was quite scared, worried that it will affect my interview results if I'm late.

Luckily, she called me back and I asked her she said there were no attendance yet taken, and they were morning session hasn't done yet, so no worries.

Alhamdulillah.

Lesson learnt : Never sleep on the day of your interview. You never know when bad luck wanna past by.

Part 3?

P/S : In the end, our session did start on 2, and we even manage to eat and solah during the time being.
