On my way back

Writing this means I just started my journey back to UIA.
Writing also means that I promised myself I will write during my midsem break, but at home, so this is a rather broken promise.

This is first time updating my blog through my phone and it feels a little awkward. The 'touch' is not there, do you get what I mean? Guess I missed the clicking sounds of the keyboard unlike this the virtual one. Haha.

I still suck at time management that I didn't manage to do a lot of studying for my quiz next week (there's 3 quizzes coming up). #ohmyhead

Time flies so fast that I actually knew before hand that 1 week of midsem break is not enough for me. (I literally studied in the car during ride to go to banks & stuff just to make sure I did a little studying at least.)

And unexpectedly this week sale's rocketed much than I expected that I couldn't handle much myself as I used to do. Alhamdulillah, all my family members help a little bit here and there. (I literally freaked out like crying in stress this morning for the 2nd time in my life knowing I'm not gonna make it if I do alone.) And it's the first time I discovered that I could be rather short tempered during critical time of stress. Luckily my faithful youngest brother help so much this morning, that I wanted to squeeze him to death cause I'm so thankful. Others help me too, so thank you.

Writing this already makes me felt kinda lonely & missing home already. No one is like our family, right? #lovingthemsomuch #grateful

It's only been 30 minutes,

P/S: Blogger in Google Chrome is so not friendly. I couldn't left sided & italic my writer's name. Hope they come up with a mobile version.

Life update.

I have been living well. Alhamdulillah. So...

How is pharmacy?
The best!

Is it true pharmacy degree is the busiest?
Probably yes. Not this year though. But it will get busier every year. Trust me.

Is it tough?
I wouldn't say so. First semester are half recaps of foundation + half new things.

Why I'm not updating?
Me myself is busy. Society, sports, business, basically managing time.

How come I can update now?
Cause tomorrow is mid semester break!

Am I going to be busy for the break?
Yes.

After mid sem?
3 quizzes.

Where I am now?
Library.

Anything interesting happening in IIUM Kuantan?
Nescafe hub! (Today's the last day.)

Have I been missing writing?
Are you kidding?

How is business?
Guess who turns two years old yesterday.

What I am doing here?
Studying I suppose.

We made our very first drug//First Pharmacy Practice Lab

So we had our very first Pharmacy Practice practical. And...

We made our very first drug (aka medicine)! How was it?

One word.

CHAOS!

Literally. Haha.

But fun.

Before the lab, we were given the lab manual, 13 pages, which contain some questions, and inquiries. But no instructions.

Example : Patient XX needs XX g of drug XX for XX disease tds 6/7. You as a pharmacist need to prepare this drug.

So we are needed to figure:
1. How to make the drug.
2. The exact amount needed.
3. How to label the drug.

And not to mention, make a report out of it. Which we only known we need to write the procedure the day before.

For me, I studied the previous lecture notes and just finish the day before, but didn't manage to the lab report the day before.

Oh and if you are wondering, the report needed to be submitted right after we finish the drug / before class ended. No joke. Some unlucky ones got mark deductions for submitting a few minutes late.

So we needed to finish the report before the lab, if not. No time mate! The lecturers are not going to help. So figure out yourself.

How? (According to before.)
1. Search and understand all recipes (and variations). The lecturers will expect you to know more.
2. Calculation. Important! Wrong calculation, you're busted!
3. Again, search and search. Labeling is the hardest part. It took us all an hour for us to label 3 medication, and still didn't get entirely correct.

During the lab, we were given our own cubicle to get our medicine done. (Yes, you are alone in this game. But not quite.) After briefing (if not mistaken about 1/2 hour, due to too many questions), then we know which medicine needed to be prepared out of all that was asked in the lab manual.  After that, we are divided to two groups to do the experiment (due to lack of apparatus). And then, cop-cop, off we go. Everyone, was so anxious and nervous (literally everyone's hands were shaking during weighing the mass). And so busy, (you can practically see some running from one place to another).

Despite all this, the funny thing is we literally prepared 'air garam' and 'air gula'.
